The MTU Kinetic PowerPack is a versatile UPS system that provides a battery-free alternative to traditional static UPS systems, delivering dependable and conditioned power with a compact size. Using kinetic energy, it features a diesel engine connected to a flywheel through an electromagnetic clutch, ensuring high power density and efficiency. Approved for renewable diesel (HVO) and synthetic fuels per EN15940, the PowerPack cuts CO2 emissions by up to 90%, particulate emissions by 80%, and nitrogen oxides by 8% compared to fossil diesel, without sacrificing performance during critical load conditions. Available in configurations such as the 2000 kVA model, it’s perfect for data centers and other mission-critical applications that need scalable, low-maintenance solutions.

MTU’s modular generator units, including the Series 1600, 2000, and 4000, are designed for flexibility and high performance across various power ranges. The Series 1600 diesel generator sets, with a power range of 450–1,000 kVA (50 Hz) and 400–600 kWe (60 Hz), are compact and containerized for harsh conditions, offering best-in-class power density and low lifecycle costs.
